I'm looking into buying an HID conversion for my 2g. I see HID kits on ebay with 6000 to 8000 kelvans. My question is if a 8000k HID kit is worth the extra money over a 6000k kit. Are there any differences besides color and brightness? I want the intense blue look so I'm assuming 8000k is my best choice. Any help apreciated :)

I don't believe there are any differences besides brightness and color. I'd go with the 8000k kit myself, it sacrifices a little brightness, but it still like double the output of halogens.

for the brightest white, you want something around the 4200-4700 range. the 8000K have a greenish bluish color to them but they are still bright as hell. i forgot the color of each of the 5000-9000K ranges but it starts off white with the 4000K range then works up to blue in the 5000K then purplish to the 6000K and like some crazy colors for 7000 and 9000K. hope that helps you out some.

We're talking about real HID kits here...

Edit -

5200k is rated at 3200 lumens.
6000k is rated at 3000 lumens.
7000k is rated at 2800 lumens.
7500k is rated at 2400 lumens(blue coated bulb).

Conventional halogens are like 1200-1300 lumens, so even the blue coated 7500k kit is still twice as bright.
