Moorhead, MN,
How would you go about mounting a license plate on a blitz kit... or is it legal to just have it sitting in your front window?? heh.

It's not legal in most places to have it in the passenger side front window but I do it anyway. You could zip tie it to the mesh in the big opening but I have a FMIC behind the mesh that needs airflow...so the plate is off. I get pulled over every now and then but no ticket yet.

are there any states that only require a plate in the back? Thats one thing I love about alberta, we only need a rear plate.

michigan is one of them. as much as i dislike michigan (i'm a HUGE ohio state fan) i sometimes wish ohio were more like michigan with their traffic laws and law enforcement in general.

Quite a few states only require a rear plate. Some of those sell fronts as a sort of "accessory" from what I understand.
Don't run a plate on the dash. You don't need a nice blade flying around in the passenger compartment if you stuff it, or better, knocked down in front of the face-bomb.... and they tend to piss off the cops: it's usually illegal to have any cover over a plate whose reflection will distort or impair its view. None of us are going to come up with a lie a cop's not already heard, and dim though many of them are, even they can pick out a body kit and figure out that your plate didn't "just fall off" from a location that has never had any mounting holes in it.
I mounted mine off the power steering cooler, using those rubber-covered wire-loom mounts. The angle even provides some additional front-end downforce which can be felt at speed NOT. And of course if you're running an FMIC, that option isn't viable.

PERFORMANCE IS KING HERE - asking questions about body kits and loud blow off valves will give the impression that you're not here for performance. This site was built to encourage modifying DSMs to go faster, not look or sound faster. Though we have a forum available for these types of non-performance questions, we ask that you make an effort to keep your questions and discussions performance related. If you're not here to learn how to make your DSM perform better, we ask that you consider using other forums better suited to your needs.

In DE you only need a rear tag. But the county cops here are b*tches! A friend of mine got a ticket for 39 in a 30 zone, ending his perfect driving record!

Yeah its required here in MN... I have a blitz kit now... I'm a bit weary of zip tieing it to the mesh becuase it just doesnt seem to secure.
