Avenger bumper on eclipse...

most of us are aware that the dsm shares it's unibody and interior with the dodge avenger, so i was looking at an avenger today and thought to myself, "hey, the front bumper off one of those might look pretty cool on my 'clipse. i wonder if it would fit easily?"

SOOOO... has anyone tried to bolt an avenger front end onto their 2nd gen dsm? it looks like the only problem would be the space between the headlights. i haven't taken the time to measure or anything, since i don't own an avenger nor the front bumper off one. if anyone has tried this, or would like to photoshop a red eclipse with one, it would be greatly appreciated.

One person tried it, but before it was completed a DSM mob got hold of them, tied them to a stake, and immolated them.

There's a movie of an eclipse snout on an avenger around someplace.

Don't expect other replies to be as nice as mine.

how about the chrysler sebring bumper. Looks good with an intake hole like the eclipse. You would have to change the lights and the hood though, I think everything should fit perfectly since all of these cars have the same fender, door, dash and so on.

im pretty sure they are a bit wider then the eclipse's.

It WILL fit, here is what you will need

Avenger fenders
avenger hood
avenger headlights 97+ (avenger are black housing, sebring are chrome, get whatever you prefer)
avenger bumper get a TC1 or TC2 www.grounddynamics.com 97+
avenger upper radiator support

This has been done a few times, but it was avenger to eclipse front clip. It all bolts right up...

I forgot something, the eclipes front clip is 2" shorted from the firewall to the radiator, so the radiator support has to be moved back on the avenger, or moved forward on a 2g.

Do you mean the new "Eclipse"?

well the 2003 eclipse body goes along with the 2003 Dodge stratus, but the one Im talking about is both of the 98 eclipse and sebring the front ends shares a grip body parts
