it just popped into my head this night.... i have a 93 tsi and i want to get rid of the fog lights on my car to help air flow through better... that leaves me with a spare button on my instrument panel... would i be able to just continue the wires on the fog lights to another attachment (lets say a light that has a "logo" on it on the back, or an interior black light connection or even for outside) would this be okay or is there the factor of attaching the same voltage wires? and by the way, would moving the fog lights really do much? I want to help out my new upcoming engine and tranny and turbo the best i can besides investing in a turbo timer.... idea's welcome!! thanks

I would be amazed if taking out the fogs made any measurable difference. They just don't block enough of the intake to matter at freeway speeds. Seeing at night counts for more- picking up deer eyes and the rear reflectors on cop cars sitting on the shoulder.
Turbo timer? Save the money, just drive easy the last mile. It'll cool down the parts much more effectively than idling will, you have more airflow through the radiator, better oil flow through the cooler, and much more cool intake charge through the cylinders and out the exhaust than at idle.

i've heard a bunch of times that it helps taking the fog lights out, but you're right, its better to see the cops and ESPECIALLY deer (already have an encounter on my drivers side front headlight and hood I NEED NEW ONES 1 G)
anyways i'll take your advice and keep them... i was going to ask another question too, i want the black gto covers for my lights to accent the dark green colour, does anyone have these on? are they too dark? my main enemies here besides cops are wildlife, and i dont want another encounter with a little (or large) critter... do you suggest these? I want my car to be neon green eventually so i'm also working in scheme with that too. thanks

e-bay isnt always good though, i've been looking for parts for my car and no one can seem to come up with them. as for the covers, are they easily detachable? I'd invest in them if so... i think having a full black against green setup would look awesome, i'm going for black rims eventually also
