Edmonton,
Dont know if this has been done before, I just had the idea to mount my AFC up there because I wanted a place where the buttons could not be hit accidentally, like in the glove box or arm rest. It was actually quite easy, and the wires were just perfectly long enough.

yup.. my friend has his like that.. and im going to do the same way.. i think thats the best place both functional and fashion.. for the afc to go.. that and like said above.. P I M P..

Very nice! :thumb: That's the best place I've seen yet. Since the S-AFC has such a weird size it doesn't really fit anywhere, but that is perfect!

Yea, I'm not too sure that would work because of the sunroof. Iono. That looks good, though!

I love it, glad to see the others with some creativity and a challange to try or do something new. I put mine there also, kinda in the same place. Here is a pic of mine.

Does the light up there near your rear view mirror bother your eyes at all. I know in vehicles like the newer gm's that have the compass/temp gauge up above the rear veiw mirror. Just wondering if it bothers you at all. thanks

Looks pretty nice....

I always thought it would be cool to cut a section out of the headliner itself and install it into the headliner right next to the dome light, showing no wires whatsoever. Anybody seen this done before or know if it will be deep enough to fit the box well? ...I think that it would look really clean, as well as keep it out of site from the outside. It might be a pain in the ass to have to arch your head back just to make adjustments or get a good look at it, though.

Im gonna be trying this out this summer.

Ok, I got it moved.

I like it better here because:
1. my rear view mirror can be closer to the roof again
2. Its now impossible to be seen from the outside
3. umm... yeah

It is a little harder to read, because its at a pretty good downward angle, but it doesnt bother me, and I would not move it back.

Only hard part... the wires were about 6 inchs too short. And there are about 10 of them... and they are thinner than 22 gauge... so it was quite a pain lengthening them.

Now... I just have to figure out what I am going to do about the old hole I made!

Note: I am going to send my homemade center vent dual gauge pod to Leo so he can cover it to match the HVAC bezel he made.

that would be TRICK if you could cut a hole right behind the visor thing (err sunblocker?). Then you could access it any time and have a good view. Thats what I will do when I get one
