For the DPDT relay, I purchased it from Radio Shack part number 275-218.

I can't figure out how to wire up the relay and everything else. The website doesn't give me enough information that I can understand. Could anybody please draw me a better diagram of how everything wires together? Somebody must have wired up one of these before or at least a DPDT relay to something. I am sure it would be very helpful to many DSMers also. Thanks

cool! did u find all the aprts at radio shack? sorry i cant help! but thats COOL

LOL thanks. Yes, all parts were purchased from radioshack except for a 12volt relay that they were out of. I got that from the autostore. If you want to make one yourself, goto dsmtalk and I posted the same over there. Somebody replied and gave me very good directions. its simple now! Thanks

Yes, a kill switch is alot easier, but not as thieft proof. If somebody wants your car, they need to find a switch. Most thiefs who want a car know that some people might have a kill switch. They will find it. Anywhere you can hid it, a thief will find it. Now the good thing about the one I made is that you have to have the magnet transmitter to deactavate the alarm. Thiefs usually don't have a magnet with them. Even if they do by chance, they have to find the spot where the deactivator is hidden at.

Plus you get to wire up a cool blinking light with it!! LOL
