im trying to decide on what size sub to put in the back of my 1g.
what has worked for you guys and does not weigh a ton?
i was thinking a single 10 in a bandpass would be ok.i do not want to blow my glass out just give the music alittle something a can feel.
feel free to let me know if you got good help from any company or if you need to get rid of.........pm me.;)

no subs at all has worked great for me. I dont need bass as much as I need .001 seconds off my ET

I plan on making custom this summer. Im going to be using larryd's box in his 2g for a rough idea.

i have two 10" kenwoods in the back with just a regular box no bandpass.... and i haven't 'blown the blass' yet.... sounds outstanding not outrageous....

i have 2 8" Infinti's in a regular box that fits perfectly right behind my back seats. i keep my back seats folded down cause i got my amp mounted right on the back of the box. my amp meter glass lights up blue which looks really nice at night. anyway, it sounds good enough for me.

soooooo,a high quality 10" in a proper sized box qould be the way to go.
im wiring it so it all comes out buy unplugging 7 plugs for the track.;)

i have two 12" infinity perfects downfired with a monster cap, 4 gauge monster cable and a 1200 watt kenwood amp. with the downfiring it [sound ] bounces off of the hatchback to the windshield and into the laps of the passanger and driver : ) i had the box custom made. and to avoid people trying to steal your goods i have a custom made cover for the back carpeted on the top and cut a rectangle in the wood for the sound to travel through more easily: ) the bottom is carpeted as well just with the hole cut on the bottom.
it works nice and if i dont want the subs to be super loud i just turn the amp down, easy as that. right now when i bump at 600 watts its perfect.
just my .02$ i say go with the infinitys:thumb:

I was going for a Solo baric L7 15. The box I got fit good, although I should have made my own. In the end I got stiffed on the speaker, sold the box and now I'm stuck with the amp and wiring kit. If you need them I can give you a good price for both (PM me). Its an MTX 81000D, at 14.4 volts its 850 watts RMS into 4 Ohms, and 1500 watts RMS into 2 Ohms.

i have one 12 inch memphis audio studio reference in the back of my laser. its a ported box and sounds awesome. plays nice and low but doesnt blow my eardrums. im runnin it with a pioneer amp at 4 ohms mono pullin about 250 rms. sounds great.
