Door Speakers

Would these Pioneers be easy to install? I just installed some speakers into the back and I had to mess with the metal quite a bit, and drill holes and such, im wondering if these will be easy to install... and they are quite cheap!

i know what you mean about the back, i had stock 6x9s but the magnet was so big for the ones that i have on the kenwood 6x9 i had to mount it on the top of the plastic, but the doors were easy, i have sonys that i bought off a friend for 20 bucks, my car sounds nice as hell. but installing the front door speakers is not hard at all, a lot easier, you may have to cut the basket a little deeper, i had to do it for my dad when he found new speakers on his integra

are the door speakers 5 1/4"?
Does that mean if I buy 5 1/4" speakers that they should fit perfectly?
And what about the dashboard speakers... are they 4"?

not sure about dash, but 5 1/2s fit in mine

i have those exact same speakers in my talon they are the right size. they werent that hard to install. The hardest part was taking off the door panels. other than that went in perfectly and they very good.

I had plenty of room to put 5 1/4 inch speakers in the door. I don't think the window comes down that far. Crutchfield says they are 6 3/4's but that doesn't seem right.

You have 6½ in the front and 6x9 in the back. As for the tweeters in the dash I think that these are 2" wide.

Some big speakers might not fit properly in the doors. If your go for RF High Performance serie or Infinity Kappa 65.2, for sure you'll have magnets that are too big. Some trims are available to have them installed a little less deep in the door or in the back, 'cause don't forget that if you start cutting the plastic in your door trim, you might end up blocking your window from rolling down completly.

Get rid of the tweeters in the dash and get yourself a nice component kit. I'm having my tweeters installed behind my mirrors with a special molded trim. Looks hot and sounds great.
