Painting My Car

I am turnign my 95 eclipse into a 97+ and want to change my ugly ass "rust" color to the stock darkish red color...not the bright red or the maroon..the darker red, but i do not know what it is called....are there any websites or anything with a list of all the stock colors by year?

If you know the year/model of your car, most paint stores can look up codes. It certainly helps if you have the code, but usually they have the code (668 - Jet Black) and a description.

The name of the paint is Cayenne red...its what i have...

you should call up mitsubishi, ask for the parts department and ask for the paint code. I'm acually repainting my car as well, going with the Lexus IS300 Blue (paint code 8N8). Its a very badass color. well have fun repainting the car.
