Macon,
I am trying to pick out my body kit and i am having a hard time finding kits or even some bada$$ 2g's to look at. The only kit that i have seen that looks good so far is the blitz i had the drift kit on my or cavalier so i dont want to get it on my eclipse. Any other suggestions. I like the large front mount opening btw.

It's funny, I attended my first DSM meeting in GA today. The best looking cars were all OEM.

So I say pick the OEM kit.

mix n match ur oem kit, if u have a 95/96 get a 97+ eclipse front bumper, and a aftermarket lip,

The only thing Id change is the oem sideskirts with Buddy Club

I don't like any of 4 pcs kit. However, I like to have the front lip that every one is using on 97+ eclispse, new side skirt I saw from www.RG-S.com and blitz rear bumper.

Anyone have pics of the buddy club side skirts?

The Battle Z, Buddy Club, and the Blitz Type II or Low Cut side skirts look the same to me, but are they? Any pics would really help as I'm trying to decide what to get.

Also I was thinking about going with a 97-99 front bumper, but how much can I find those for?

thses OEM bumpers that they sell on ebay... are they made out of fiberglass or what? Cos my whole idea here is to get the 97-99 bumper cos if I got anything else (aftermarket) I know I'll break it then Ill be spending money fixing it.

I was taking a look at those chin spoilers for the stock 97-99 bumpers and they look pretty nice but the thing is that I SWEAR I thought i saw a carbon fiber one somewhere maybe it was on cardomain but the ones that RMDSM has are made out of plastic.

Also where will I be able to find the 97-99 reverse lights and fog lights? Pricing would be nice too.

Man thanks a lot guys. Now all i gotta do is FIND a bumper for my car.

I was looking on ebay for the 97-99 bumpers and found this one here. What i was wondering about was that you know if you look closely at the big opening in the middle of the bumper, all the way on top but inside the opening you see that lil thing that comes down from the top of the opening and it has like horizontal and parallel grooves in it. I have seen Eclipses with the 97-99 bumper but they don't have that lil thing there its just a clean big opening like this one here . I want to know if thats like a removable snap on type plastic piece or if its part of the mold.

That bumper thats on ebay has that thing in the opening and it seems as if since its a aftermarket OEM bumper they made it so that the lil thing cannot be removed. It might seem like im overthinking this but I just dont like that thing there all it does is cover your intercooler if you have a FMIC.

Basically what I have to decide is whether to do with the aftermarket one thats on ebay or get one off of a car OR i buy the aftermarket one and somehow remove that thing. If I can remove it how should I do it and will i be able to?

Aight check this out. I found some great deals on my front, back, and sides. Im thinking about the Blitz polyurethane rear bumper ($115), Blitz fiberglass side skirts ($110), and 97-99 stock front bumper with fog lights ($230 including shipping) with the rmdsm carbon fiber lip. How do you think thatll look?

The only problem is that a brand new rmdsm carbon fiber lip is $250 and shipping is like another $50 or so. A used one or a brand new one that someone is selling privately is like $200. I just cant seem to find those for cheap. Damnit!

Wow Gary 420A RS, I really like the kit you posted earlier that no one has yet. I think I've seen it on a cavalier around here though. :thumbdown

Nonetheless, I think it would look good with a different set of sideskirts, thinking maybe the low blitz.

yo where did you find those side skirts for $110? i have been searching for blitz lows but can't find them for cheap. :confused:

i currently have blitz-highs but i think i'm selling them due to the amount of body work associated with putting them on.

thanks.

dude your a retard... shut up!.. :thumb:

My fav kit would have to be 97 front, 95 sides, 95 rear, and wingless. Ohh soo sexxy. That's what my car will look like shortly, well maybe if I can ever get some money. Oooh ooohh and with bronze Rota subzeros too.

Once again some of you are out of control. When a person asks for their favorite 4 piece kit , you don't say..dude the oem style is the best. your game is tired, give it up. a 4 piece kit is obviously an aftermarket body kit - not stock which is the whole reason people like them. - to make the cars look nicer. If you like stock, that's cool, but if someone asks for a favorite 4 piece kit - they are referring to aftermarket. I don't want to sound like an a$$, but if you posted a question like this, you wouldn't want those responses either

agressor , buddy club II, JDM Boomex
all good kits - check out the article on the difference between urethane and fiberglass though before you decide on which one to choose. Basically, urethane holds up better, but much more cost involved in preperation and installation. Fiberglass is cheaper, easier to repair and easier to put on.

I guess i kinda worded this wrong:

... I wasn't being a jagoff, I actually do like the kit. It lookes like the rksport kit for cavaliers.

Carbon fiber lip from Franks Custom Fiberglass is brand new, made when ordered, and sells for $200 plus shipping which I think is 45 bucks or so.

Does Franks Custom Fiberglass have a website? I cant seem to find any info on them.

What would be a smarter thing to do to not have the lip break, get the ABS plastic one or the carbon fiber one? Carbon Fiber prolly wont be as flexible as abs so itll break easily right? Plus my car is already lowered and ive heard those lips take away like 2 inches from clearance in the front.

Your right on. The ABS will last longer, carbon fiber looks better IMHO. Anyways:

www.frankscustomfiberglass.com = Carbon Fiber lip

www.rernetworking.com = ABS Plastic lip
