1g Interior Chassis Paint

I've stripped out the interior from my 1g race car project, removed all the sound deadening material and sanded everything down with 400 grit sand paper in preparation for painting. What type of primer / paint is recommended for the interior chassis? There is VERY VERY little rust so I don't think POR15 is necessary on the interior, should I use like a Rustoleum epoxy primer and then paint it? I'm going to brush paint it as I don't have an HLPV gun or a big enough compressor.

If there is any bare metal I would definitely use a self etching primer to start with. Rattlecan is fine if your area isn't too large.

I'd look around craigslist for some used equipment, you can put together a decent paint setup for a couple hundred bucks. If you don't want it when you're done, sell it on craigslist again.
