Toronto,
Last week my car got broken into and everything got jacked out of it, subs, amp, deck, palm pilot for my pocket logger, digital camera.. I knew this was going to happen one day or another, anyhow.. i never had an alaram on my car (stupid me) and I started getting lazy and stopped removing the faceplate off my deck, even though my deck flips its faceplate when you turn off teh car..

I know this idea isn't new or anything, but I thought this would be one of the coolest anti-theft devices.. basically take off your faceplate when you leave teh car and replace it with a tape deck faceplate that fits snug and looks realistic, so theives will think you run with a tape deck in your car and won't bother breaking into it for a tape deck.. I think this idea will work, any suggestions or comments, please feel free to reply!

=D

They used to make a fakeout that was just an AM/FM looking cover, and in New York you used to be able to get one that looked like a hole with ripped wires hanging out.

Or just put razerblades on the bottom of the sub box. So then when they lift it up...slice...there goes a few fingers. BWAHAHA!

I have razor blades under the front part of my hood and my driver and passenger side door handles hehe. If you get cut you had no bussiness touching my car and it's all your fault. My cousin found that out the hard way. He ended up with 30 stiches in his fingers for trying to open my door.

Law suit????? Hahaha, that don't matter to me. If you are on my property after hours touching my car. You better hope for just the razor blades and not anything else. The blades under the hood are there permanetly. The blade strips in the door handles are removable (very easy if you know how to get them out). I put them in at night when I park my car in the driveway, and I take them out when I get into the car in the morning. Everyone in my house knows about them so that's good enough for me. I could care less if some retard cuts his fingers off in the middle of the night for messing with my car.

Dogs are dumb man. I knew a guy that used to feed this dog everyday till the dog knew who he was. Then he fed the dog sleeping pills inside of a doggie treat. The dog ate it, went to sleep and the guy with a few of his friends robbed the persons house while the people were at work. Don't count on animal. They are far too gullable.

the razor blades thing is kind of a good idea... but if someone does attempt to break into your car and they cut themselves, i'd be afraid of them just bashing the #### outta the entire car itself. You'd still be out a lot of $$

if a burgler cuts his hand on your car because of those blades, he can sue you.

in newyork, a burgler was going to rob a house, he fell through a skylight and landed on knives. he sued the home owner and won. granted its stupid, but since you are deliberatly trying to hurt someone, im sure you could be sued.

If he cut his hand on my car and set my alarm off in the middle of the night, because he was trying to break into my car. Trust me bro.......He would need a body bag not a lawyer. You can't sue anyone if you're a corpse :thumb: .

I only put them in at night. When the car is sleeping. I pop them out in the morning when I goto work. The hood mounted ones are permanent. If you reach in the wrong way looking for the hood release, you will be gashed. I've sliced myself a few times being stupid. But at least I know it works hehe.

I've always wanted to know of that was true or not. I heard that story in the movie Liar Liar. Jim Carey's secretary was telling him the story. :D

Make a switch that disconnects the ground wire to the battery and connects the positive terminal to the chassis. Anyone that touches your car will be in for a big shock.

Hidden fuel pump cutoff switch...no fuel, no stealing my car.

Have you ever been shocked by your car battery? doesn't really hurt at all.

I guess you haven't heard of a flatbed trucks. I know a few people that use tow trucks and flatbeds to get the cars that they want. If you have low jack, they have scanners that tell them exactly where the box is before it is activated. Moral of the story is..........If they want it bad enough they WILL get it. That's why you have to make it painfully hard for them if they try.
