14b cracking hot side question

Today i was at one of my local junkyards taking parts off of a 92 talon tsi awd. The stock 14b was still on there, i checked it and it had too much shaft play for me to want. Some guy came a hour later and pulled it off. I told him about the shaft play but he did not think it was that bad. Once he removed it, we started looking it over and it has about 4-5 cracks down in the hotside.

My question is, is it possible to mount a 13b hotside to the 14b and it work properly?

Cracks are normal on 14b's as long as they don't go all the way they the housing, or cause the wastegate flapper area to not seal right. To my knowledge a 13g is a tdo4 and a 14b is a tdo5. The turbine wheel is bigger and that would make it impossible to swap housing without machine work, which is a waste of time when there are plenty of second hand tdo5 housings out there.
