Dericing newly purchased eclipse

Just wondering how many of you had to derice your eclipse when you bought it? This thing is crazy, blitz body kit, cheap paint job, painted up interior. But i got it for dirt cheap since it needed timed and a new tranny so I said why not! Just going to convert it over to a 99 body style, make the interior black.

I have over time. I got my '99 RS when I was 16 and it had a Blitz body kit, wing, and painted interior trim. My transition is on CarDomain, no build thread per say.

I'm in the process of doing just that.. he had a blitz body kit, and a roof scoop like 2F2. Got the roof scoop off this weekend and it's painted

Ya mines some odd baby blue . I ordered a 99 stock front bumper, a bumper reinforcement bar since that was missing, and have some of the interior trim in a box to go in once I get a black dash, etc. They do have interesting headlights on there though, they look like the 99 headlights except they have a projector. There not dual projector headlights like i keep finding on ebay though so I'm wondering if the ipcw or what. I'll have to post some pictures.

yep me! The car had a terrible 3 color paint job and a stupid giant wing on it. I had to buy the stock wing from a junk yard but have no idea how im going to put it on so if anyone has any tips, id appreciate it...luckily the interior is in excellent condition but the outside is just primer now.

Start with the simple things. Be patient and keep your eye out for good deals on stock parts. Check the classifieds for part outs, as you'll be able to get lots of stock parts for your car.

I like how they left the OEM door cap on with the ricer side skirts. The door cap sticks out like a sore thumb. Good thing she's in good hands now.

For sure, the side skirts dot bother Nero much but the front and back body kit has to go.. Then maintence!

It will look funny with those skirts on with OE bumpers. When you look at it from the sides, the skirts will hang lower than the sides. I would do the front, back, and sides all at the same time.

Ah I gotcha, well then the body work will prob have to wait.. The wrk being done is free, so I wouldn't wanna work him for the side skirts. Looks like a pain to get them off

Probably, at least enough to be noticeable.

Yeah it'll be 1"-1.5" lower. That's about the only good thing about body kits. You get a lower appearance without doing any suspension work.
