so this just might be pure idiotic but I clearly have no idea. But I have a 1990 Plymouth laser rs and I really want to have the 1g dsm low spoiler on it. Is it possible to put a 1g eclipse or talon 3 piece spoiler on a 1990 Plymouth? and what would need to be done to do so if it is possible. and does anyone know where I can buy one? besides craigslist...

You could try your luck at a junk yard, or search the classifieds on here. I removed mine and it was a pain in the butt to get off, so if you do find one be carefull removing it. You're also going to have to drill holes in your car to install the brackets and clips. The spoiler snaps in place via the clips, and is screwed to the brackets.

Yes it's very possible. You'll have to drill out the mounts for them, but not that big of a deal. Just have to pick which wing you want. The 1ga talon wing is a 5 piece wing that extends on the doors, the 1ga gsx wing is a 3 piece that falls off at the back window and the 1gb wings are similiar to that. Junkyard would be your best bet. I know our local yards have a bunch of the 3 piece wings, and some jackass pulled the 5 piece wing off the only talon in the yard, threw it into the trunk and then broke the door handles off so you couldn't get in. They were lucky I didn't have a vice grip to get the door open that day, but I'll be going back for it.

Goto a junk yard and if you can find one strip the 3 pieces of wing and all the mounting hardware. And if you have time take paper with you and make a templet for all the holes you will have to make. Best way to do it.

Alright thanks everyone! ill be sure to do the paper thing and make sure im careful when taking off the mounting stuff! Very helpful! thanks everyone!

If you're able to find a spoiler are you going to try and wire its brake light? On cars that came with a spoiler there was a harness for it, but I would assume you could tap it into one of the brake lights.

Go for a five piece if you can find it, I lucked out and got mine for $10 at a local yard, has nine Dsm's three of them had the five piece and one was already missing, the other was broke and the last one was on a awd turbo that you can't get the hatch open, but I managed to get it. Lol

I ended up using the four side pieces and a 1gb deck lid spoiler, I think it looks (kind of like the ws6 trans am spoiler) pretty good, need to get the door pieces put on, still have the 1ga deck lid too. Along with the 1gb side pieces, all of the other Dsm's have the regular three piece, none or the goofy laser spoiler.

I did it to my laser. Was easy enough, I just made sure I used silicone on the holes I drilled to keep moisture out, as well as double sided tape. The wing on my laser is on way more solid than any talon, although it pretty much non removable.

I my self will be doing this to my 92 laser as well. I found a mint black 5 piece at the junk yard for hella cheap. Looking back now I should of taken the whole deck lid. Probably would be easier that way, then you only have side parts to put on. But I'll make it work. Any ways when removing it be very careful on all of it. The back and back side parts, unbolt, then slide off. The two door parts take a screw driver or trim tool and some very careful prying. I would definitely do this in the summer so that the pieces don't break as easy on you and will bend some. Also probably not needed but it will help is to remove the mirrors. Good luck and good pick'n

yeah i plan on doing this in the spring. i'm hoping the local junkyard has a 1g and will sell the spoiler for cheap. luckily i have quite a few of junkyards around me so im sure one of them will have something.
how did you make sure that you lined up the spoiler correctly and that it was in the right spot? did you draw a template at the yard where you got it or what? i just don't want to put it on wrong then have holes in my damn car from the wrong spots. haha.

Make yourself a paper or cardboard template from the bottom of the parts and you should be fine. That's what I always did on my Camaro's that were bare and I wanted a junkyard spoiler. It worked for me...and I also always silicone up the holes to keep out the rain for sure. Good Luck!
