i bought a blue dejon tool 3" intake with a BOV tube on it. i figured id be recircing. well i got a HKS SSQV and am venting.......but the bov tube looks like shit now.....how can i cover it cap it off or wut can i do to it.

Have you tried to drive the car without recalculating yet? Do you have the vpc? the majority of dsm's that have tried have had problems with it; are you one of the 10% that hasn't had problems? I'm just trying to save you some headaches before you try. Basically if you do not recirc your blow off valve the ECU is reading that you have more air that is actually going in (from the maf) and ads a lil extra fuel; usually causing stalling, or rpm's to drop bad during shifts. let us know how it tuns out, then we can offer more options.

thanx for the info which i was aware of already. i notice no problems, just a quicker drop in rpms between shift.......nothing tragic....shift fast, and dont keep your clutch on the ground the whole time and u wont even notice it

Cap it off then. Maybe you are one of the 10%, I haven't heard of many people that haven't had problems. If your thinking of getting an intake without the bov attachment let me know, I might be willing to buy yours from you. Happy tuning.

i would just get a vac cap and paint it the same color. that way if you ever want to recirculate you can.

cap it with duct tape :p .. another nicer way is useing one of those boots that cover a hitch/ball .. cut the top off and put in on with a hose clamp

Ummm don't put a MINI FILTER then it will run worse.. because it will suck in unmetered air that has not been accounted for....You know those 5" Autometer Tachs and shift lights...you can get kits that turn the shift light into different colors..and it includes the matching cap..which is Blue.. i found one on ebay for ya Ebay Yo and heres it from summitracing only $5.95 Summit just go down and you will see it item# ATM-3250 Hope this helps..

I used an expansion plug to cap mine when I was venting.
