Painting the tires

Just wanted to know if its A OK to paint my tires glossy black so i dont ever have to worry about the shine.I wanted to paint it with painters touch by rust-oleum .Its a Multi-Purpose paint so i dont see having a problem with it.

Paint will stick to tires. I had to do it to my girlfriends car. I was spraying some white touch up when the wind picked up. half the tire was white. So i got some black out and sprayed. It looks alright. Nothing beats Black Magic Tire Gel though!

while you're at it put a layer of silver on your brake discs and paint holes and lines in them. should look fantastic. you could also spray a light coat of black on your windows for some cheap tint, start right in front of the driver too.

seriously this is a terrible idea, it will stick, but only in light applications and it won't "make it always shine" but rather the more often the tire flexes it'll start to crack and peel over time and look even worse.

My gf's car has been ok. She has 185/60/15 tires and its fine. Don't get me wrong, I don't recomend this at all for a quick way out of gel-ing the tires. I only did it b/c her tire was half white.

How about making a 4" exhaust out of cardboard tubing from your local Carpet shop so you don't have to worry about the exhaust either? Don't forget to give yer rims the gold metal flake for that all important Bling factor!

heres what i use to make the tires shine. the foam shit u spray on. then i take the meguiars tire gel. emmm it smells like grapes. hahaha. then i use the sparkly shit for the bling factor.haha. the guy who sold me my car gave me it with the car. at first i thought it was kinda g@y. but i was bored one day and decided to try it. it looks pretty sweet if ur tires are shiney and u put it on. if the sun hits it right u can see some sparkles. its green to match my car. dont want to get red and look like a xmas tree. i think it looks pretty tasteful. but painting the tires bro ??? thats just dumb. i dont mean to flame but how lazy could u be? just get the foam u spray on and dont need to wipe off if ur gonna be that lazy. painting them will only lead to problems.

get some oops cleaner and rub with a rag. it'll take that overspray right off. Or it should. Tires don't last forever, just let them be half white for a while.

I think it would kick ass and save you money. Its a real good idea, you should do it and post pics to prove every one wrong. Its like how I used a box of Klenex to rebuild my air filter. And look at how my car runs!

Well I built an entire exhaust system myself. It took awhile to save up all those toilet paper rolls, but it was well worth it. The coffee can tip sounds great! I just found a old hair dryer under my sink, so I think I'll be doing a custom turbo on my car next week.
