Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if anybody knew if it was possible to swap hoods , front fenders , and bumpers for the eclipse or talon to the laser.

The reason i ask is that i want to swap with a different year , i want to swap out my front body style for a 1993-94 body style in the front. Basically because i like the headlights.

Another question is.....this is prolly a garunteed NO but does anybody ever consider swaping a 2g body or body parts to a 1g car?

Thanks Import Tech

i have a friend with a first gen eclipse and he put an aftermarket second gen bumper on it....looks kinda bulky and the headlights dont line up perfectly but hes gonna get it molded to look bettter...personally i didnt like it

Thanks for that bit of info.....but it would be really useful if any body could tell me if the parts will even fit on my laser.....thanks

i have seen a 2g 97-99 stock bumper put on a 1g 92-94 and it looked pretty good...but i am sure it is more trouble then it is worth.

Hey i was wondering more if i could use the fenders more than anything at all.....opbviously people are oblivious to what i am asking cause nobody has a good reply yet....

somebody has to know whats goign on .....basically i don't want those ####ing pop_up lights any more....but i want to swap out the 2 front fenders ...the hood....and the bumper....that should make the lights fit in seemless ly......and io don';t see the problem seeing the cars are pretty close to the same

theoretically it should work, you should be able to swap out all the stuff, but really, is it worth the effort? make your own conversion that you wouldnt have to change all that stuff, convert to a style like the Supras have, which I think would be much easier(you might even be able to make Supra lights fit) and look better than just stock 92+ headlights, besides all that, I dont think pop ups look bad, the reason I bought a 93 is because I originally didnt like the pop ups, but since I have changed my opinion on them, I mean, really, the only time you can see them popped up is at night anyway when no one is looking and cant see them anyway, but to answer your question yes, it should be possible and I remember hearing about someone who did it, I'll look at my 91 laser and compare it to my 93 eclipse in a bit and tell you for sure

ok, I checked for you, it looks like they will swap right in if you have the hood, fenders, and lights, you may have to drill a couple holes to mount them though, heck, you could swap pop ups into a 92-94 if you wanted for that matter, they have the same indentation I guess you could call it, but anyway, you could concievably swap parts from a 2gen onto it as well, the trouble is not the body parts themselves, since you know 2gen bumper lines up to a 2gen hood and so on, the problem is in mounting them to a 1gen body(I am talking about the front end here by the way, the rear end would be a whole other matter, damn I wish I had a 2nd gen roof to mess with) but I really wouldnt attempt that unless your a very good body man

Ok.. gona say this.. it dont matter what it is or who made it etc. If you have the money you can make it work.. seeing as i have seen so many classic car's at shows that have parts on them from cars rangeing 10yr + from the model of the one there on and alot of times not even from the same company/maker... it all comes down to alot of body work and $$..what ever you want you can get.. just gota have the green backs..
