Weight Reduction

When I get some money hopefully in the near future I'm gonna buy new doors, mainly b/c I want power windows/locks and an alarm system. Anyways I got this idea from a video game actually. How much would it cost to buy a 2G fiberglass hood and doors? If they get smacked are they ez or hard to replace, also how much do the repairs cost. TY

that would probobly be expensive as shit dude, seriously, that would almost be pointless on the doors but the hood wouldent be a bad idea, and fiberglass is easy to fix depending on the damamge, i mean if you got a hole, its cake to fix, but if you break off the side of the hood, your kinda screwed

I hope you are not planning on fiberglass doors with out a cage or something. I am not an expert on rules, but I do not think you can run at tracks like that. To me I would rather have some weight and be safe than fast and have a chance at killing yself in a collision.

umm.. i would do the hood but if you want power windows etc. couldn't you just get some doors off a GS-T or something? or TSI or whatever model's have what you want? asumeing it's the same yr model should fit stright on i would think.. just re-paint to match and stick them on..

If you really want to lose weight fast. Remove the damn spare tire and jack. I had both of those in my damn car.. Those suckers combined must have weighed atleast 40-50 pounds. Also remove the back seat and the passenger seat. You would lose a decent amount right there.
