Exhaust Manifold Cover...

Whats the best way to go about polishing the exhaust manifold cover, like most 1G's mine's kinda brown and rusty, so after i get it off the car, what should i do?

i just sanded the shit out of mine and it looks good

i sanded the shit outta mine, then used some "aluminum" colored engine paint. it looks nice

sanded mine then used mothers aluminum polish, came out pretty good

yep... sanded it starttin at like 800... all the weay down to 1500 grit... then used some muther aluminum polish... looks good for a couple of months. The it fades and needs to be done again... but hell it's worth it not to be brown and nasty. If you have a bench grinder with a polishing wheel, you can make it damn near look chrome.
