Ok, I don't know what's up with my hyper white/blue lights...I bought a pair back in November and they only lasted about a month and I bought brand new one's from Jegs about 2 months ago...and what happens now...one is burned out again!!! Grrrr...not like these are cheap to continue to replace or anything...and it always seems to be the same side that burns out...anyone have any suggestions as to why they may be doing this every couple months?

maybe the lights you are getting are too much fo a current draw for the stock wires thus making them burn out.

i picked up some Street Glow "hyper white xenon" bulbs (just 9006) for only 22$ months and months ago, and i've had no problems whatsoever. its very possible you may have touched the bulb(s) on installation, or maybe they were just cheap bulbs. look for some streetglows.

I have had my same hyperwhites installed on my car over 2 years now.

The type of bulbs are APC that I bought from Jegs...the cost was $28.99...and they are 80W (9006)

I know the bulbs were not touched during installation....I did know you're not suppose to do that...and it always seems to be the same side that blows...

Some other people in my local club were telling me to go with the more expensive one's (silver stars) and that they come with a warranty...maybe I'll have to go this route...at least they won't be more expensive in the long run if I have to continue to replace them...;)

you need 12V 55W if they are all the same. Oils in skin will cause the bulbs to burn out quick. Try not to touch them. You can wear gloves probably. I have touched bulbs b4 tho. Just don't hold the bulb. Hold it by the plastic.

I have the same problem, I first went with the Eurolite bulbs, the drivers side blew. THEN just a month ago i bought Nokyas and just 2 days ago the drivers side one exploded and now there is glass all inside my headlight. and the inside of the headlight glass is all fogged and stuff..

Yeah, I have the same problem.

I bought a pair of H3 (for projectors) nokya artic white bulbs, the driver side one busted after it rained one night, then I got some *really* expensive XD5 bulbs from Japan, because they said they would not bust due to moisture and that they had the highest color temp next to real HID's. Sure enough the driver side one busted after about 2 months w/ them, one night it rained.

The compartments are sealed pretty well too.

Do they make them in an H3 bulb?

What's to keep them from exploding when they get moist?

I'm not going to get another pair of expensive bulbs just for them to blow up.

Silver Stars are amazing, its not some cheap brand like Hiper White that I've had and they have blown too. Basically I think these manufactures make the bulbs stress themselves. I also don't know if you guys have daytime running lights, but I do and my lights would always be on until recently I just did the DRL mod. Anyhow, this should make these bulbs last a lot longer since they won't always be on during the day as well... a place where you can get silver stars are here..
