oil gauge

is there any gauge i can put in my car that will tell me where my oil level is at withou checking the dipstick, just cause im lazy like that

Haven't heard of one for cars other than dry-sump systems with remote tanks. Just use the "ear" method, and when you hear the lifters, your replacement engine should come filled to the proper level.
