2G: Carbon Fiber Molds

Where would I be able to get molds 2gb talon molds to have bumpers rear and front, and sideskirts? I'd like the OEM style...

As for the hatch I know I can get that from CC i think, and the hood as well.

Every other CF topic i've seen asks for the parts themselves, I want to get molds, or if anyone has ANY info on a shop in the NE region that can help me with these pieces please let me know.

First its alot of work to do all those molds. With that said there isn't a vendor out there that has the molds that I have ever seen or heard of. Second you could always do the work yourself. The process isn't to bad but a little lengthy and it takes alot of time. You would pretty much use your existing OEM parts to make the molds off of then lay the carbonfiber and vacuum it. As I stated before this would be a BIG UNDERTAKING. If you have never worked with carbonfiber or even fiberglass for that matter I would highly suggest to first do some learning as there are sites that you can buy materials from and also have videos. Then start with small projects and work your way up. The biggest being your front and rear bumpers. out of curiosity, why molds? Are you looking to reproduce in quantity, because molds of the parts asked for would be quite large, and expensive to make.

I wouldn't mind owning the molds because id be able to have them done infinitely. Making them myself sounds awesome! Lol

But i also read that big bugs and the obvious rocks can crack cf. How durable is it?

Depends on how many layers you do. Carbonfiber in itself in multiple layers is strong and the more layers the strong Ger it becomes. You would want a good clearcoat as well and remember to use UV protectant clearcoat so it doesn't fade.

Careful of carbon creations, their hoods don't come pre-cut out for your hood latch hood prop, or sprayer nozzle. I've had issues with their hood.

carbon fiber is stronger than steel in SOME WAYS, obviously CF breaks with enough force.

Are you looking to make them in hopes of saving weight or just for looks? if just for looks you could always just get a CF wrap and wrap your existing parts.

I would strongly discourage wraping the bumper covers in CF> its rigid when cured and the cover is not. Which means it will not stick for long. If you just want the "look" of CF go get it vinyl wraped, you'll be much happier.
