i say keep the wing , doesnt look like rice really at all , well it does for some people who call that kinda stuff rice , but to me , doesnt look like rice at all , really does look good on your car SO KEEP IT ON!

Definately Stock! Especially with your car being red. That's not even a different looking altezzas, same ol ish. Why not do a mix and do the altezza, that has a red mask over it? That may be what I do. Change the wing too if your really cuttin on the rice. It looks better without the top "shelf" obstucting your view BUT its still too much wing.

about the wing... it looks super huge in those pics... because they are leveled with the bumper. It really isnt all that bad... if u look at this pic for example.

well i dunno, everyone has their opinions... but nobody has told me anything bad about when they see it in person.

My opinion is just like everyone else, I have ALWAYS hated altezzas. Honestly I used to be a ricer back in the day with my old GS eclipse, and I didnt care about anything but looks, and EVEN then I hated altezzas with a passion, and that was right when they were coming out and were still fresh and not rediculously played out. Ditch them, burn them, do whatever you can to eliminate them from existance, go back to stock as soon as possible as that just makes your car look so much cleaner.

As for the wing, personally I'm a big wing guy, I like spoilers, some people dont. However I like sleek design, and IMO that spoiler is too abstract, and doesnt flow well with the curves of the car. It flares out on the sides too much, and just kinda looks awkward IMO.

Moving on, I dont like body kits 99.9% of the time, so understand that I have trouble liking cars with them, it isnt a personal thing against anyone (except in some cases) but almost all of the stupid kits out there are WAY WAY too overboard with trying to be all "unique" (I say that with parenthasis cause there are so many body kits out there now, everyone who was trying to look original in the first place, is now beginning to fall back into the crowd, and if they just hadnt put the body kit on, but rather made the stock car body look nice they really would stand out). Basically like I said I like sleek designs and body kits just really really really arent sleek designs 99% of the time. There are certain ones such as the Cwest kit for rx7's etc that do flow extremely well with the car, but then again a hell of a lot of time was put into some of those kits. Most of the kits out there are just quickly slapped together things such as the BOMB kit, or the SHOGUN kit, all called ### cliche names that appeal to the ghetto thug in all ricers.

Anyway I really forgot the point I was trying to make there and went off on a tangent, so now I'll go back to what I meant to say. I can stand the front bumper of your car, although to me it looks kinda like the bumper is melting But the rear end is absolutely FUGLY. Honestly its a blocky looking bumper on a completely rounded car, the people who made that kid should really make up their mind on what they want the car to look like: A jetta or an eclipse.

So to sum up my rambling, ditch the altezzas and burn them, take off that fugly ass rear bumper, and possibly change wings to something else that doesnt flare as much. And again none of this was meant as a personal attack, I understand some people have different tastes and it looks like you're trying to appeal to more people here, and you have hopefully some power and arent all "show" (dont even get me started on that damn word). So really do what you want, I was just giving my honest and sincere opinion here as a fellow dsmer.

Clear coat your stock tails. It'll look like they aren't even there. I think so anyways. Seems like I saw that somewhere on red. It already looks cleek with the stockers. Matches the car better.

The thread was titled cutting down on the rice, so I figured I'd add in my opinions on a few other pieces that I didnt like.

hey whats up carlos...ok let me say that im not a ricer.... dont like rice.... so dont flame... this is just my opinion in the matter of his car... keep the altezzas... there is too much red on that car and it hurts my eyes just looking at it.... i like it because it breakes up the redness... maybe if you went with cf atezzas instead of the white.... i dont know though with the red and then the black... i like his body kit, as for being unique well then it kinda is.... i havent seen anyone with that body kit other than him.... and getting a body kit isnt always about being unique... its about likeing the way your car looks.... if that means a big wing, body kit, altezzas, and neon underbody, then power to ya... although i would get rid of the wing carlos... get the 2g turbo spolier, i also think itd look better... *puts on fire retardant clothing and waits for the flaming*
