SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

I am sick of looking at my damn pop-ups sticking up in the air evertime I flick on my headlights. I know there is a way to have them lock down and shine threw the clear lens upfront (btw this is for the 89-91 dsms) I know this may be dangerous as in there being a lack of Light from the headlights. But I plan on swaping in some rather bright fog lights to make up for it. So If you know how to get them on "lock-down" please let me know. I'm sure other 1G guys may be interested as well. Thanks alot.

:dsm: 4 life!

Actually really simple, I used to do this to my 1g, there is a fuse in the drivers kick panel that controls the moters, not sure which one it is though, but pull it and the lights stay down.

or you could do what the stealth guys do and trace the motor on your headlight to the wiring harness, clip one of the wires and wire it to a toggle switch. that way you can flip it and turn your lights on , then flip the switch the other way and have them pop up. my friend did that to his 92 steath. pretty common mod.

(on the wiring harness just make sure you clip the power or the ground wire going TO the pop-up motor, that way when you flip the switch it disrupts the current to the motor)

I always thought about putting a switch on the fuse, but Im not sure what else that fuse ran.

When you flick your lights. Your popups come up? When i flash my high beams mine dont pop up weird.

na he means leaving the lights ON on my 1g they dont either but it would suck to hafta hold the blinker back and keep the brights on, plus they put off more heat that way, and sitting right in front of those plastic POS's I would be afraid of meltin something sitting there on high beam for 2 long JMO tho

Honestly i had so many problems with those cursed pop-ups, one would go up one would get stuck, its started to really piss me off, i finnaly did the headlight conversion, check the pick below , it used to have pop-ups
i suggest you do it and save some grief!

You changed the rear of the car also with the conversion? I would have kept the 90-91 rear, but Id also keep the popups. To answer the question.. Pull the fuse. Done

Ok, what year is your car? Are you just saying its a 92 cause you did the swap and its really a 90-91?

My car was a 91 talon, i do love the pop-ups and back's but the pop's on my car were pissin me off, i changed the back too, i liked the bumpers better than the 91 so i changed the whole dam thing, here's a picture of the back too!
The work: you got to cut the supports out of a 92 and rip out
the old ones....a little cutting and welding. not fun! actually its a pain in the ass but at the end it came out good so it was worth it.
Your going to need fenders, hood, bumper, lights from a 92 , but it cost me next to nothing, found my color car w/a blown motor for $500 even got nice black leather seats out of it. and a hood and bumper and fender forom the junk yard cheap. Honestly i wouldn't do it again!
