Don't hate guys but after a ton of fabbing I got these to fit perfect. They sit lower, perfectly straight, and hug you like grandma :p

I got them for very cheap and came from an EP3

those look good with your steering wheel, look comfy and functional.

anything else matter? LOL

How light are they? I am looking for a lighter seat than the OEM leather seat but hate the colors offered in the cloth.

They are about the same as the manual seats. The power seats are very heavy. Misterbeechy I've also put 4g seats in a previous dsm (see 4g seats thread) and I like these much better

I had to cut the spot welds and flip the mounting brackets since they are inner-vertical. Then re-drill new holes in them, then reweld. I also had to cut the inner seat mounts on the frame and move them 1.5" lower to match the outside mounting on the frame level-wise because they leaned out

I don't think DSM seats suck, but they could be improved since they are from late 80s/early 90s and they are way too heavy.

I think a lightweight OEM replacement is the best bet for comfort/performance.

They suck compared to what is out there now :thumb: Totally agree

And yes OEM replacements seem to be the best bet, racing seats are just that "RACING" which means they aren't made for comfortable commuting. So most replacements aren't going to have that oem feel even if they do provide the better support. Many OEM's have seats that provide a better race-like support, but still maintain a level of civility for commuting in their high performance cars these days.

As someone else said, they look really good with your steering wheel and the red stitching and accents match the exterior so the overall look is nice. I'm still looking for a set of cheap Evo IX Recaros for my Talon.
