well i live in nyc and someone stole the entire trunk
from my 2g gsx... i woke up to look back and saw nothing.

mitsubishi quoted $1,200 to replace and return it all.
i dont want my insurance to go up and its not a accident so im not gonna claim it.

does anyone know a place on east coast that can do it for less then $1,200? nothing has been broken but everything removed.
theres a lot of wind noise now :(

im in new york city.

Any theft or vandalism goes under the comprehensive part of your insurance and will not make your insurance rates go up. The only thing that determines if your rates go up is things that you do personally such as accidents, speeding tickets (if reported), etc...

The only thing an insurance company could do is choose not to renew your policy if you have had more claims than you have paid in. Typically that does not happen unless you have had several accidents and thefts combined.

My insurance company chose not to renew my policy when I had an accident a year or so ago but I had several claims over the years. I had only 2 accidents but proabably 4 comprehensive claims. The kicker for them was the second accident which was the only one that was a big ($7500 on my car alone)

Either way I ended up having to get a new company and chose Progressive and got lower rates that I was paying with the company that chose not to renew me.

Dude come into jersey there's a bunch of parts cars, and junkyards, it would be the cheapest way, even though its a pain in the a$$, insurance companys suck!they always try to scre-w you
