OK.
Month ago i got a kick ass deal on a Viper 790xv (top of the line) 2 way alarm and remote start system. only $230 shipped, (msrp minimum $500) to find out that the local shops will NOT install this dope looking thing into a manual vehicle.
Now, I've read stuff about door sensors on the stick to avoid it from being in gear and stuff like that to make a closed circuit for the thing to work. This 790xv has neutral safety wire thingy for big trucks with neutral safety thingy's. So is this the wire i should use for the stick?
I am gonna let them do the alarm install ($60) unless some one here can walk me through it, and do the remote start my self definitely with someone's help on here. Its not a big loss if i loose the life time warranty since these units are indestructable and didn't cost me much.
So any help and websites containing alarm install, wiring diagram, etc would be greatly appreciated.
I would even pay some one to walk me through the alarm and remote start thing online.. via paypal! so... it don't cost me too much to install it my self, and will be quick and painless.
I have installed a bull dog remote start on a camry so i know some shiit about the main 12v wires around the key assembly and etc.
So someone help me

use the door switches attached to the wire for the hood pin or emergency brake. It should be a grounded wire. if you want drop me a line at my email [email protected]

I work for a national retailer doing alarm installs, and no place will install a remote start on a manual car (to many morons that would leave there car in gear and kill someone) i just put an audiovox 995 (audiovox's version of the viper you have) in my 98 talon MANUAL, and its pretty basic to just trick the car. I had the 790xv and my friend has it. I installed it on mine and his car. It is not hard to install if you have the wiring for our car. I personally took the 790 off my car because I have had problems with it and replaced it twice. My friend has replaced his like 3 or 4 times. I just installed the audivox one with the 2 way yesterday and from what I have heard there is much less problems with it. By the way if you need an extra remote for the 790 I have one I am willing to sell. They normally go for like 125, but I'll let it go much less than that.
