Newbee with a car who started to rice it...

Hey guys im new to this site just thought i would post to tell everybody about my car. (If this is in the wrong section would a mod move it please.)Any ways its a 96' eclipse with a full Blitz body kit, CAI, exaust, some other little stuf, and soon to be lambo doors. Any ways they guy before me ass holed a jeep and he ebayed the whole front end with fiberglass fenders, (cant get em to get alighed right) blitz bumper, and a carbon fiber hood, i was wondering if anybody out there is into body work and can help me get all my body work lined up any help would work ill try and post photos up asap!! The main things that im having problems with is the bumper lining up with the headlights. The fenders lining up with the bumper. The pass side fender mating up flush with the head light. Any help woulod be greatly appreciated!!!

Each to them selves, but personally i like the lambo doors...Yes it may be 2001 but hey its my car and my money. I also want to do duel exaust with fart cans but obviously everybody here is bias against that, so im going to do duel with just some nice chrome tipe with a rolled tip probably with a strait cut i havent seen any pic with angleg cut yet...Any body got any ideas with the body?? ill have pic up to night or go to my facebook an you can see [email protected]

Doesnt it say in the rules and guide lines that your GST or GSX owners are supose to keep to them selves about telling n/t guys abot selling there cars and buyin turboed versions?? I am going to make my car the way i want it if you have a problem with it post on somebody elses form, i just want help and ideas not your .02 cents, or opinion.

Well first of all you didnt ask any questions in your 1st post. Only told us what was wrong with it. So naturally everyone told you how to fix it! Dont rice it out even more than it already is

I suggest if you want perfect fitment again, go back to OEM parts. Find yourself a nice front and back bumper along with sideskirts and fenders and everything will line up perfect, oh and everyone wont be laughing in the mean time. No point spending money on a mistake to make another mistake...

i'm not a body man, but i bought some z03 fenders i believe they are, hated them, they don't fit right. bottom line is fiberglass, from my experience, doesn't give you that much leeway to readjust to a good fit. I agree with going back to OEM or at least finding some nice oem style CF pieces.

thanks jjgrizz73, and Fotowntalon i guess i didnt realize that i didnt ask a question...The only reason im staying with the fiberglass fenders and the body kit is casue the rear bumper and side skirts are already done molded into the body when i got the car...Like i said i got the car wrecked and the body pieces came with the car. i was thinking about just fiberglassing the front fenders to the front bumper for a nice smooth look, but like i said i cant quite get the fenders to match up to the headlight just right...
BTW is there something i can search so i can see what is considered "ricer" and what isnt??

ok dude first off bodykits are over rated.
My car came with a bodykit and it was the biggest waste of time ever to make the rear bumper look half way decent.
Second off not many people would actually be proud to call their car rice.
Third off not many people call them fart cans who own them.
I mean I don't know anyone who purposely wants their car to sound like its taking a crap.
Those fart cans actually kill your performance.
Lambo doors are a pita if you get cheap ones
All I can say is if you don't know anything about bodywork don't put a body kit on.
I am saying everything with as much respect as possible.

There is no definition for rice its all personal preference. I just personally dont think you should make your car look faster then what it really is. There is no need for a big ass wing to give you down force if you only pushing a 18-20 sec passes on the 1/4 mile, and as for the lambo doors its my understanding that lambos dont even have them any more thats just my .02 and dont take any offense to what I said it's your money spend it as you please.

Dude, its his car, dont criticize him on what he sees as a good look. And as for "not telling you how to make you car look good" this is the appearance section.
However, the majority of people on this site are either here to return their car to stock, or increase performance. Im sure you could go to a body shop and they would be able to put everything on for you.

Sorry for the bad grammer, the last forum we didn't have spell check so i didn't worry about the grammer...So my appoligies i will work on using spell check in the future...But seriously guys i know what im doing is basicly what everybody considers "ricer" but nobody within 75 miles of me does imports im trying to bring a scene to my area. Everybody in my area is stuck with the 79' fords and older stuff like that so im not trying to bring shame to the rest of the DMS its just something new and i want to explore every aspect of it...Future plans include a cam and some other stuff but im gonna take it slow and learn as much about these import's as i can an then probably move on.

Leave the sideskirts. Ditch the fenders and front bumper. This info is coming from a guy who has used all of those components at one point. You'll hate the fenders once they begin to stress crack and the bumper cover will never fit as good as a stock 2GB bumper cover.

Here's a pic of my car with the 2GB bumper cover, similar fiberglass fenders (I wish I had never bought these), and those same sideskirts. Everything fits very nicely.
