viper 550esp or delta 5005

well today i round a turn and i hear a thump thump thump thump. im like wtf my wheels loose ?? i go home. sure enough. all the lugs including the special lug are loose almost hand tight. go the the passenger side. well well what do u have here. a missing special lug. some mother f*cker wanted my 2g gsx rims huh? well now i want an alarm. my friend has a viper550esp.http://www.drdetailshop.com/v550esp.htm gave me a deal of 120 for it including a blue led he bought for it that scans back and fourth. i think its a good deal, and ive read some good things about viper alarms. only thing is i wanted an alarm with a 2 way pager. i want the lcd display so i can see whats goin on. but if im at teh mall or something i can be too far away and it wont matter right? so i was searchin on ebay and found some with the 2 way. i found a delta pro 5005. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3007441135&category=14934 for 125. it has the way like i want. all suggestions will he very helpful. i dont really know jack about alarms. any advice will be helpful. please specify why you voted for that model. thanks, chris

someone please help me out? help me from posting a my f*ckin car was broken into post in the hangout. also if i were to get the viper can i get a remote for the 2 way and have it installed with it ? i dont think its possible, but i wanna make sure. cause if it is id def go wit the viper. bumpedy bump bump all the way to the top.^

I'm sorry buddy, I'm not really the electronics afficianado. I know I had a DEI alarm (Viper, Hornet, whatever the hell they call some of the best buy alarms) and I was not dissapointed with it. It was very good quality and definately did it's job. I'm sorry I'm not of any further help. :-/

to me they are all the same unless you want remote start and door unlock.. what's an alarm supposed to do? go off if their is a break in or attempted theft.. they all do that.. if you are worried about that make sure you get a sensor. it's usually a balance type sensor that is put in the center of the car, so when a car is slightly jacked up or rocked, the sensor goes from the middle to either side setting the alarm off..

if u want viper and two way get the viper 700xv. it has the alarm and all the features of the 550. everyone who has it has recommended it. itll cost ya bout 500 or more including installation.

thanks for the suggestions. dont worry cuc. . so what do you guys think ? should i just buy my friends for 120. it retails for 400. it has every option i like except the 2 way. i really wanted the 2 way but i dont wanna shell out a hell of a alot of money. im savin for rims and tires right now. i need em by spring. I guess the best bet is to go with my friends, unless someone can confrim that the delta one on ebay isnt a pos and is just as good. i dont want any false alarms. maybe i can find the viper 790 xv on ebay somewhere cheaper, around my range. also can you give me more info on the senor that goes in the middle of the car? do i have to put a motion sensor there or is it something special?
