Car Alarms? Hard to install??

are car alarms hard to install...because i wanna get one with the pager thing but if i don't get it from best-buy or Circuit City they won't install it...and its like 600.00$$ thereOMG
 
i wanna do the same thing. i can get one of the pager ones that has the little screen of a car on it and it tells you where the car has been tampered with. i can get it for like 300, compared to 500-800 installed.

someone help us...
 
ok guys, well i just got the aladdin a2000 two way alarm with remote. now my friend manages a car audio/alarm shop, so i had him install it at the shop, it took him atleast 5 hours, and he said that it was harder then hell, and he had to actually call up a friend in SF for some help because there were things he had never seen before, so i definatly wouldnt do it your self.
