i cant get my ignition lock mechanism out to replace it, please help!

i have a new ignition lock mechanism and i cant get the old one out.... it looks like there is a button you push a little metal one not the big black one and im pushing it, cant get the thing out for nothing,

does anyone know how to get it out or know where directions are on how to do this, there is not a manual at any of the shops around here and i cant afford to wait and order one...

this is my only car i need it to go to work so any info on how to get this out will be much appreciated, thanks

The old switch has to be turned to ACC.

take a pic if you haven't gotten it yet. i have replaced a few ignitions in 1g's but i don't understand your question.
