heres the deal. ill try to be detailed...

My left HID kit blew out. I was driving home and i noticed that my left lights werent working so as I was gassing up, I popped the hood and noticed that the wiring was very hot compared to the right side. I drove home and I was almost home and for some reason I turned on my Hi beams and and in a couple of seconds noticed my left turn signal turned on with out me turning it on. a couple of seconds and I pull on my drive way, I noticed that it was smoking inside so instantly turned off everything. I then noticed that my parking lights wouldnt turn off even tho the switch was off. I also noticed that when ever I turn on my headlights, my radiator fan turns on. also noticed that when I turned on my AC my right turn signal turns stays on. Also noticed that if i turn on my right turn signal, my right HID blinks with the signal as well. I checked the fuses in the engine bay and all seemed fine. I also checked the ones inside by the left foot and noticed that the turn signal fuse poped so i changed it but nothing changed, I also took my left HID and replaced it with regular halogens and still no light.

My little theory is that the smoke was coming from the burnt rubber insulator from the wires somewhere and now the actual wires are exposed and are touching each other thats why different things are happening. Ima try to fallow the headlight wires and see if thats the case. Will taking the fenders off expose the wires or is it inside the engine bay somewhere? Do you guys have an idea of whats going so i know what to expect? because its a hassle taking off and on the tail light fuse when driving at night and plus I only have one light.

ive already seacrhed with no luck unless i skipped some threads.

thanks in advance

Seems like a wire or two (or more) shorted out or heated up enough to melt the insulation like you suspected and then possibly melted the insulation on yet another wire so that those two wires are now short circuited. You should follow the wiring from the headlight/turn signal and radiator fan till they run next to each other and try to find a melted section and see if they are shorting together.

i havent had the chance to look take a look at hte car because i have been busy. I am almost certain that some wires melted and are touching each other becasue while i was driving with my AC on my right turn signal was on. and every time i hit a big bump on the road the signal would turn off and turn back on agian. i will take a look at this weekdays. hope fully i can fix this whole thing. ill keep you guys updated..

so i procedeed and took off the front bumber and the driver side fender and BAM! i could see teh burnt wire already. so i guess that was the good news, the bad news was that it ran all teh way down the cabin and burnt 4 wires with it. My brother and I redid the wiring and now i fixed most of the problem, Fix the radiator fan, fixed the turn signal, and fixed my headlight.

the only problem now is that the parking lights do not turn off so i still have to take out the fuse in order to turn them off. and put them back on when i drive at night.

What could still be teh cause of this? i looked inside the cabin towards teh left foot by the fuses and i can still kinda see one wire that melted a little. there is NO SPACE!! to work down there. so i really hope this fixes everything.

but for now im just glad most of the problems got fixed and that i dont have to go drive at night blinding everybody becasue i drove around with my hi beams.

The parking lights wire must still be shorted against a +12v supply wire. Remove fuses one at a time (till lights go out) to narrow it down to which circuit. Then if you can, unplug that circuit's haness at various places to further narrow it down (can also unplug taillight relay and lighting switch to see effect). If that doesn't help you'll just have to start looking.
