okay, i have a pioneer DEH-P3000 head unit, (2) 240 watt Pyramid amps, sony xplod 6x9's, and a pioneer impp 12" sub in a bandpass box.

here is sorta what i want to do.... i want one of my amps running to my 6x9's, cause my xplods can handle 180watts each, and then i want the other amp powering my sub. how should i go about doing all this?

should i take out the stock amp or what? :(
would this be hard to do? im not exactly the most knowledgeable when it comes to car audio so i was thinking about paying a car audio store to do everything for me. i mean i could probably do it but im just kinda confused when it comes to the stock amp, and my other amp that i want powering my other speakers, plus my sub amp.
i wired up some systems and headunits in other cars (civics, fords, chevys) .... but nothing as confusing as my talon.

any help or suggestions would be appreciated....

Maybe I can help here. Your headunit should hopefully have three sets of RCA preouts(white and red plugs). They should be labeled front, rear, and sub. Run RCA's from the rear set to one amp and hook up the 6x9's to that one. Then run RCA's from the sub set to the other amp and connect the sub. Then tune everything to your liking and you'll be done. I'm not too familiar with the Eclipse but I don't think it has a stock amp, not a seperate one anyway. I could be wrong though. If you replace the stock head unit then you remove the stock amp anyway.

Well i use to work a a shop so ill do my best to help u in words. Ok do what sy said run the RCA's rear to 6x9 amp and the sub output to the sub amp. From there u should brigd the sub amp becuse most likly u well want more bass. so O wait r the amps 2 channl or 4? well if 2 run a + to one channle and the - to the ether. then to sub oooooooo and is the sub 2ohm or 4 or what? dunno wish i was doing it in persion LOL hate trying to spell it all out. ok then just run a channle to each 6x9 and u should be sett. but ya if u put a new head unit in i would tak stock amp out and maybe run new speker wires right to the speakers all tho u dont have to if u new the colors of the factory ones just cut them off at factory amp and tap them in to the wires the ones runing to the speakers. well hope i didnt get u all mixed up all tho i prob did LOL

Sorry

Cut the stock amp out. Your new cd player puts out twice the power of that POS anyways. Proper imaging would suggest putting an amp on some nice front speakers...instead of rear. You want your music to sound like it's coming from in front of you like a concert on a stage, not behind. Alot of competition systems cut out the rear speakers all together just because they are so useless.

I suggest looking into a nice component system for your front and running the amp to that. Run the rear speakers off your HU, they're definetly not as important as your fronts.

the pioneer only puts out around 17 watts a speaker by the way....ad the sonys will blow if you put that much power on em
