Sunroof doesn't close fully (pic)

That is what my sunroof looked like when the center pin on the lever fell out of place. At high speeds it would open up even more.

All I did was push the center pin back into place and it closed properly again.
 
You have an aftermarket sunroof. You might see if you can find a make, and check The Sunroof Doctor - Your source for replacement sunroof & t-top parts! for help. First guess is that your drive cable has slipped on one side, or you may have a foreign object or broken piece blocking its travel.

kk I'll definitely check that out, I had no idea that it was aftermarket! So did all 1gs not have a factory sunroof option?

I'm going to take apart the lever first then, I'll report back what I find.

No, there were many no-hole cars made. But in those days, the dealers made a good chunk on installing an aftermarket sunroof.
