I'm gonna get another set and sell these and do them different. I painted mine from the inside, so I can use the stock clear coat.

I used to have talon tailights with just the top amber part blacked out, and I remember seeing a red/black 2ga talon with it the same as what I had. I really liked it because it matched the black top/red lower theme the talon has going on. I like yours too though, big improvement over stock

I've seen that done to other Talons and I think that looks like Ass. Its ok on Eclipse's. Everyone knows I've built a few eclipse center tails that light up and painted and stuff. But I honestly think it does not look good on a talon.

I'm going to redo my tails and try and figure out something different. Gonna sell these and get some new stockers and prob lightly tint the blinkers and double that for the brake lights....

Car looks good, I normally don't like the full red being blacked out, but it looks good on your brightly colored car!

E116: You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of a car down with just the amber blacked out would you? Have been wanting to do that on my black 2ga for a while, because I think all blacked out on a black car is too much!

I'm a 2g guy... This is the only 1g I actually cared for. That picture looks like crap cause myspace screwed it up. Looks like I'm smearing wax all over the side.

Thanks all for the replies. The car is getting re-painted soon. Was thinking a dark blue almost black. Once i get-r-done I'll post some pics.

I wish they made aftermarket lights for the 2G talons that way we would all have to come up with are own ideas. The tinting does look sweet though.

Some guy locally tried making clear tails out of his talon tails. I almost wanna punch him in the face for demolishing his tails.

There is soo many things you can do to stock talon tails. Y ou can go to Michaels (assuming you guys have one), or a Hobby Lobby, or some sort of Hobby Store and pickup a can of Red Candy Paint, and red the amber portion of the tail lights. You can do VHT in all sorts of different ways. Its really nice for only 20 bucks.

this is an older pic, i spray can painted the center piece black and spray can painted the talon part silver and i thought it looked pretty good. Then i picked up clear trans black paint from a body shop and painted the turn signals and the turn signals had this really cool gloss black look to it. I thought it looked really good sincei hate the amber color on our tail lights.

anyways..

last week i picked up a can of VHT at an autozone and decided to go over the turn signals again and paint the TALON part black. Well first of all i dont like VHT because it doesnt give the tail lights that glossy look, it has like a hazy look to it and i dont like it does anyone know if thers a way to maybe buff out the haze and make it glossy? Also painting over the talon part looked terrible haha ill post some pics of it so people dont make the same mistake i did.


poppabear, im not a huge fan of the all black tails unless its a black talon, but that still came out pretty good i like how it looks
