Headlight Questoin for 1G Talons

I want a talon tsi awd...the 1g's...in black but im wondering

in pics i see the 90-91's have 'pop up' headlights and the 92-94's dont.

so im asking this...if i were to get a 90-91 is there any way i could make it so the light stays down...non pop up..and the pop up part is clear and the light shines through it?

do u know wut im talking about?

so its like a celica/mr2 light kinda thingie...ill install photopaint to my comp and try to make a rough sketch of wut i mean.

i like the 92-94's a lot with the front-view. but if i can get the 90-91's to look how im talkin about i might want to get one of those instead.

lemme explain in clear detail....the pop up part is the same color as car...if i could change that out for a clear plastic/plexiglass and adjust the way the light shines to go through the clear plastic part while its down...would it work?

You can simply turn on your lights after having disconnected the switch and it will work that way. Do not expect to see much at all, as it doesnt shine through very well, but IMO it does look cool

yes it will work. but like candela said it's not going to be as bright compated to having the lights pop up. there are a few pics in the 1g gallery that have it.

what he is saying is to switch it out like the 300z (i think) is. He wants to change the entire popup assembly into a clear glass part that light shines through.

It can be done. I've never seen it done on a dsm, but I've seen it on a Fiero. Not sure how expensive it would be, but it will prolly take a good little bit of time and effort.

make the whole thing clear and the light shines through it.

i looked at getting it done, and its more expensive than its worth...the shop i checked wants 400 for the 300zx lights alone, then to do the body work they want an extra 500. kinda [email protected] leave the lights how they are unless your rich! just my opinion.

if I was going to do it... I would use the headlights off of the NEW NSX... I think they would be a better fit to the bodylines of the car...

i am gonna give it a shot, when i get my car painted i am gonna get him to mold me something like that. he is my best friends dad, so i'm sure if i stay and help him he won't charge anything but material.

i dont know of any with the conversion, thats why i am having it done. As far as pricing goes, i was involved in a wreck not too long ago and the front driver side was damaged. So in the end i will have the 300 zx lights, suicide hood, shaved car ?? (maybe), and repainted all black. I will not have EXACT price tag till the end but as i am having a friend do the work so it will be discounted quite a bit. =) i am going to try and get pics while in the process of fixing it. but when i do i will post them.
