:dsm: I have seen a couple of kits 8000 Kelvan which is more whiteish blue color. I have seen the kits on a 1996 Prelude and a 1999 Volkswagon Golf.
3500 Kelvan is what you have now with normal 55 watt halogen lights.
6000 Kelvan is Pure white Xenon, HID lights
6500-7000 Kelvan is Purpleish white light like BMW's and Audi's
8000 Kelvan is Blueish white light like Lexus and Mercedes.

You can find some amazing deals on www.ebaymotors.com for REAL HID Conversion Kits for $350-$400 which is an excellent deal. The lights really light up the road, make your car look cool/futuristic like Audi TT coupes, Porsches, Ferrari 360 Modena's etc. You have to get them man :thumb:

People here at DSM Tuners.com are not into them, but they are missing out I am telling you to get them......they look super cool and are only operating on 35 watts of power compared to your ugly yellow halogen 55 watt stock bulbs. Get them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think that i can see fine with mine, i dont see why spending 600 bucks on headlights when i can get from point a to point b just as fine as someone with thm

i guess it really depends on where you live. if you travel alot of roads that have to street lamps then they will probaly be worth it.

Agreed. I think well worth 400 bucks. I think they're alot cheaper now.

ive seen some around for about 300 to 350 but they just dont look like the purplish/bluish that all the audis and cedes have, phillips makes all the kits for audi and cedes, the cheapest ive seen a philips kit is like 450 to 500...

If you look and really want them ebay is the best hook up. You will find them there for $350-$400 for 7000 Kelvan Purple and 8000 Kelvan Blue no problem.

To me you have to have them if you live in areas where there are no street lights and there are a lot of deer!!! Also they look damn cool too and used less wattage which is good if you are running an amp or some stereo equipment aftermarket. I have a some buddies with a 96 Prelude and it lights the road up really well and he has avoided hitting deer at least 4 times now so........ that $400 is well spent not having to get his car fixed or losing his life with the deer being hit and falling up on the hood and crashing into the windshield. Not a pretty picture.:dsm:
