Hey

I removed the A/C unit on my car. everything in the engine bay related to cooling is gone.

Im wondering about the stuff INSIDE the car now.

I have attached a picture of what i think may need to come out.
It says COOLING unit. It is located under the passenger side airbag in the dash.

The goal here, is to remove all the A/C related stuff i dont need while still keeping my heat.
So if this is part of something related to the heater let me know.

Thanks in advance.....:thumb:

Can someone else confirm that this is removable with still maintaining heat? I heard lots of yes and no.

It is not unless you want to fabricate a new box to replace it. That is all a part of the hvac system. There are 3 sections, the fan on the end, the ac, than the heat. Without this box there is no path for the blower to blow thru the heater core. You can remove the ac components from inside the box, but you must seal up the holes in the box where the lines go thru.
