New reverse indiglo gauges not workin
Now guys this question seems kinda easy ...
but i installed my gauge cluster and every thang but the needles are not lighting up the lights to my blinker is workin all the other things are but my needles... im thinkin that the light can not come through because i left the original overlays on... any suggestions of why my needles are not workin

I had a similar problem, you need to make sure the needle has enough space to move, if the face touches the needle AT ALL it will not move. I used a little elmer's glue between the gauges, and trimmed the edge where the end of the needle is, on a 2g you cant see the edge of the gauges so this worked fine, but I dont know about a 1g, maybe just try glue all around, and hold it down with very slight force until it dries, MAKE SURE THE NEEDLE DOES NOT CONTACT THAT FACE!!! otherwise you will be stuck with an inoperable gauge. Also I wouldnt use super glue cause if you evern want to take them off....too bad

Also the whites usually come with their own lighting system because the stock probably wouldnt shine thru.

yeah, the bulbs ALL have to be there...with my stock gauges, one went out and half the unit wouldnt show up. i took it off and fixed it.

i wanna thank you guys for your help ... all the needles are in and move like they are conected but no light .. my blinker arrow works my check engine and all them little assoritys work but no like to the needles

Thanks for helpin a fellow dsm'er:dsm:

Couple of questions, where did you splice to get power from? Do your hvac controls light as well or no? If you spliced into the dimmer, you probably hooked up to the wrong wire. There are three wires, one is power into the dimmer the other is power(lower voltage) for the light on the dimmer, the third is out to your cluster/hvac. You need the wire that has the higher voltage going into the dimmer. If you didn't go that way, check your fuses. Other than that, don't know.

i think i know exactly what is going on here. this happened to me and i
was freaking out, cuz i thought i royally ####ed my car up.

you say you have the cluster installed. have you put the full trim piece on yet? the one that has the foglight switch and dimmer switch on it? if not remove the foglight switch assembly (3 screws if i remember right) from the trim piece. take it out to your car and plug the switches in. then check to see if your dash lights work.
i figured this out after pulling my cluster apart like 15 times trying to find something wrong with the bulbs/wiring. then it hit me like a brick in the head..... the circut is not complete without the fog/dimmer switches being connected. man i felt like i had a room temperature I.Q. after that.

hope this helps you. mike.

No i havent but im going to check it out ... im thinkin of replacein some bulbs but then want led blue lights and i have no fukcin clue on those

Hey...im taking a dash off because i need the gauge cluster and i have to get the harness out for the swap im doing into my 94, so basically im unscrewing anything i see LOL....10mm and a phillips keeps me busy right now i have then gauges out that was simple as hell but for everything else im not sure, if i was doing the swap i just need to get all the wiring out and find the clip for the engine harness correct? let me know!

each needle has a light.... two of mine fell out when i was installing my gauges, and i put one back in, and the other fell out somewhere :(

so all but of fuel gauges light up, not a big deal though. I'd say check the bulbs, maybe they came loose if you were bumping it around, especially if you drilled holes in the back to route the wires through.
