Loudest Possible Exhaust

I love loud ass cars and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the best setup to get the loudest possible exhaust.

well take everything off from the downpipe on back. then run "straight pipes" to the back and weld on and american thunder series flowmaster muffler. your all set. after u take off your stock muffler, feel freee to send it to me.

I already have the stock muffler chopped off and been running it like that but still doesn't seem that loud. I have a huge as greddy turbo muffler but haven't put it on yet cause I was wanted to see how I was gonna setup my exhaust. Is it gonna hurt anything running out a Cat?

Get rid of the cat and run a straight pipe all the way back with no muffler. That is about as loud as it gets.

will it hurt if I cut off the Cat and run the exhaust straight off the DP untill I get the pipe welded on or will that cause problems, are there any senors in that section of the exhaust that I need to be careful off?

Yeah there is an O2 sensor back there, but there are ways to make that work. Running without a cat will give you better performance, but running with just a downpipe is rather obnoxious. I could only stand it for a couple of weeks like that. Plus you'll smell like exhaust fumes.

yea and the fact if cold air runs back into your motor, it will mess up the valves....

alright thats the warning I recieved before about the valves. Upgrade the 02 housing, 3" DP then run a straight pipe back to either a high flow muffler or just pipe. What do I do about the sensor??

If you're running a downpipe that's pretty far for cold air to travel. I don't think that is a concern in his case.

It should be crazy loud, I have 2 and half inch piping all the way through with a high flow cat and all the people I cruise with say it sounds like a jet, and i already got a ticket for an illegal muffler becuz of the loudness!

1. Sell your "too quiet" turbo car
2. Buy a NT
3. Unhook the exhaust system and throw it away.

Get a 3" O2 housing, 3" D/P all the way through to the cat, eliminate the cat, run a 3" Apex N1 exhaust. 3" ALL THE WAY THROUGH will sound VERY nice. Ive heard 2.5" D/P, no cat, and 3" Apex N1 and believe me, it sounds NIIIIICE!!!!. I plan on doing the WHOLE exhaust in 3" (from O2 to muffler ).

OR......

Do all of the above, except run an open O2 dump. Cant really beat that if you want loud

I've got a Kamikaze Header, DP, no Cat, and then it forks off to Dual B5 Bomb mufflers. Is pretty loud, but I like it for its really deep tone like a v8.

Dont believe so, never heard a case of where it WAS required. It will still help to open up your exhaust a bit before you concider though.

For loud, Go NASCAR. Install some steel headers then install a 3" downpipe and custom attatch a pipe to that exiting on one of the sides of the car right infront of the rear tires. I did this with someone's Civic, They had the Black Widow Body Kit and a B18C5 with enough mods to do an open flow exhaust, and I had a 50 Series Delta Flow Flowmaster Muffler right off of the downpipe exiting into 2 2 1/2" pipes with both pipes leading to both sides of the car, and ending at a custom tip that fit perfectly inside the hole thats in the Black Widow Side Skirts, It was one of my favorite Custom Jobs, sept it was done on a honda. Still sounded loud, You should have heard him when he got on the highway and his Vtec kicked in, that sucker screamed.

Yes you can, but if you do the headers like found in the Exhaust Manifold area in DSM Tuners, you will have the problem of Heat. Those Tubular headers should echo the sound pretty good. But if I were you just go with a good ported Exhaust Manifold and a 3" downpipe.
