Sucide Doors

Does anyone know anything about sucide doors? or does any one have them? im wondering cause i would like to do that to my car.

i thougth suicide doors where the doors that just opened up the opposite way they normally do... maybe you're thinking of scissor doors?

They are doors that open backwards.

I've seen it done on a 1G.

yeah, that's what i meant. but why would you want that done? do you have any links to some pics of this done? cause when i picture it in my head it just looks stupid.

I have no links right now, but I'm sure I can find them.

The key in the "extreme" show circuit is to do new stuff, and I guess this floats there boat, but whatever.

Suicide doors hinge at the back rather than the front of the door but still open outward. All of the doors posted so far are either scissor or gullwing style.

suicide doors are doors that open backwards, like the new RX-8 has. Lambo doors are doors that rotate vertically upward from the front hinges(pic 2,3). and gull wings are when the doors open vertically from the top hinges (pic 1).

I think suicide doors would look wierd...but i'm open to the idea, would just like to see it cuz i have doubts...

I want to see those cars in the pics when the lift supports wear out. the guy spends $1000s to do stuff to his car and has to jump out before the door crushes him!!!

suicide doors would be so frekin expensive seriously , youd have to move or shave the door handle and reverse the hinges and im pretty shure you have to reverse all of the electrical to the doors, not worth it unless you own a show car

the parts involved are fairly cheap.
just alot of time involved.

most show cars that have suicide doors dont have any electrical going to the door, so its not a problem.

they like the clean flush tweed look, and the not being able to drive in 'weather - rain' look, with no windows in the doors.
