????
System = RICE now??
No need to hate cause someone loves their music.
Audiobahn = BASS, no Sound quality at all...I would probably get the 12" if you want the bass and 10" if your worried about the sound quality....

i am ass. manager of a stereo store and those speakers suck.. the only good ones are the alum cone. and the only way to get the speakers to perform well is in a bass reflex box a.k.a ported box and with more box is more wieght so car goes slower. not to mention most of there speaker the upper line anyway are like 1.5 ohms and what amp can you really run with that (none) only audiobahn and there amps are weak to.. but if you are going to use those subs it would have to be the alum in a sealed box about 1-1.25 cubic foot w/ poly fill 1/4 the way full and 10s more punchy more acurate 12s deeper lower bass up to you.... i would probly pic different brand ...

If you want my opinion, neither choice. I am a reseller of AudioBahn subs and I like them. However, if you want excellent bass and wicked sound quality, I would get 2 10" Crystal CMP10 subs.

We are running a special on them for the next 7 days. I can sell them for $200 plus shipping a piece for the CMP10.

For further specs on them click Crystal CMP10 Subwoofer

But that is just my recommendation. Crystal blow Audiobahn away.
Thanks,
Nathan

12's sound alot better than 10's, but i guess its all in personal opinion. If one clown says stereos is rice then f*ck him, i like my music loud, it doesnt mean im rice over it. And i wouldnt listen to someone who responds in ebonics, its just stupidity from other member that make no sense

it doesnt equal rice at all. 3 10" subs = ####ing retarted. I care about my music too, I might be replacing all the stock speakers with infinity multis, I might even get A sub in the trunk, but 3 is jsut a waste, and all its gonna do is make your car slower.

would the 2 10" subs in a box fit in the back the length of the box is 30"long

you are an assistant stero manager? you know nothing about amps.. there are tons and tons of amps on the market that will run below 2 ohms.. my Fosgate bd1000 is rated at 2 and i bring it down to 1 ohm with no problem.. you don't work on commision do you?

what would be best because i dont want it to way alot and i want good sound quality and good bass.should i do 1 12"sub or 2 10"subs?whats the best for less weight and sound and bass

I never said it was rice...i was being sarcastic...And I didn't respond in "ebonics" :) I guess everyone takes everything so seriously around here though...
I agree, you shouldn't go w/ audiobahns unless there the alum series.

amps that are that are stable to 1 ohm etc. have horrible damping factor so less controll of the woofer and especially in a ported box audiobahn bad combo period. you can however get high spl if that is what you are interested and i am mecp certified..

with a box that was tuned really low tho you could get some sq but you would need a pretty big box and i dont know if the original post was going for speed or what the last 2 posts were to answer the bd1000 eclipse..

Depends on what kind of music you listen too and what you want out of it. If you listen to mostly rap or music with deep bass I would go with the 12s. If you like rock music or listen to a wide variety then I think 10s maybe a better choice.

As far as stereo systems being rice, the only time I would consider it rice is if you have $5,000 in bass, excruciatingly loud tweeters, and no mid-range.

I currently have a single 15" audiobahn in my spyder. Ported enclosure, 600w rms. They're great subs for the money. Very loud, but not the best in the SQ department. There will always be better, just expect to pay alot more also.

Try and stay away from Audiobahn's lower end stuff. 10's will play tighter bass than 12's...but 12's will be louder. I'd say go with 3 10's or 2 12's. Look into a decent mono amp that is stable down to about 1ohm and can give those subs atleast their RMS power rating. Install is usually the most important thing in a system, do it right and you'll be happy with just about anything.

please explain how u mean less control over the woofer? A damping factor of greater than around 65 or so is good enough. You wont notice a difference between that and one with
300.
