im thinking the front bumper can just be switched. but the rear i know the taillights have to be eclipse taillights. i cant picture the rear end right now but you might have to purchase new reverse lights.

What my buddy did was swapped out front bumpers and put on the side skirts then he trimmed the rear bumper to match up with his stock tail-lights. Oh and new 97-99 headlights, I dont know if you'll need them, but he put them on.

You need the bumpers.
The head lights are different.
The reverse lights.
And not sure, but probably the tail lights.
To eclipse ones.

Basically what they said above.

I did this swap over the winter this year and the first steps your gonna have to make is decide on a kit. Then contact the company and see if the front bumper requires all ebay kits usually list for model years 95-99 but as i found out when i called my front bumper was molded for the 97-99 years( a little fact they left out) and as for reverse lights the same applys 95-96 differ from 97-99. If you choose to go with a kombat rear you will lose your rear bumper support as it does not fit under the new bumper, i have yet to see one that does. i used a 1/2 inch steel plate across to both braces just for something there just incase. the rear wireing harnesses for talons are missing a bulb so i wired in a 3 rd bulb for the tail lights. Kits from ebay maybe very cheap but there is a reason my rear was off by 4 inches and the side skirts were off by 1 1/2 inches. WTF so you will get what you pay for. but when its all said and done its worth every penny to convert, you need any help or have any more ?s pm me ill gladly help:thumb:

If your're looking for a more technical answer:

the bolt holes for mounting the bumpers and headlights from any model and year are interchangable. so it's just a matter of picking the bumper you want, the healights that correspond (95-96 or 97-99), and bolting them in.

the rear however, will require you to drill a few small holes due to the eclipse tail light screws not being positioned the same as the talon's. the back of the talon will have flat spots punched into the metal though so it's easy to see where to drill through. also, you will need to weld or bolt on angle brackets a few inches higher than where your current rear bumper mounts are, due to the eclipse bumper mounting higher up under the eclipse tail lights. very minor fabrication, nothing to worry about.

I wrote up a how-to guide way back when I did my eclipse conversion. I'll look for the link real quick and post it. It is overly detailed, but if you scroll through you can find pictures and information about what I just refered to above. Also includes taillight wiring diagrams for how to rewire your harnesses to run the eclipse taillights.

here's my write-up on 2GNT.
