Morganton,
#@$#%$ GRRRRRRRRRRRR. Got a Kenwood cd deck, wiring harness that's giving me fits, used stock mounts with long screws. I believe longer than recommended. Does anyone have any information as to what I can do to make this #$%ing piece of s#$%t work. Color codes of the wiring diagrams? It's a second gen 95 Infinity sound system. I need help bad before I #$%ing break something.

first as with any install get the applicable adapter for the wiring harness (makes life soooo much easier!), and the proper mounting kit. as for the factory amp once you hook into the harness you basically lose it.

Is it possible to remove the factory amp and replace it with an aftermarket amp on a 2G (without anyrewire)? I ask because I recently installed a Kenwood Cd player, and it sounds half as loud as the factory CD player, and I really don't want to go back to it.

Also, does anyone know of a place to find any good rewiring diagrams for a 98 Eclipse GSX?

ok I got the right mount kit, I got the right install kit. only thing now is my tweets aren't working. Is there a good spot that I can tap into for my front tweets? also how about using that stock amp is there anyway to do this?

did you forget the wires comin out of the amp for the tweets?

man, do it once and do it right

your tweets and front stage is designed to work off the factory amp.
your rears work like a normal rear set.

replace your HU, and you have a problem w/ the factory amp and its design limitations w/ the factory speaker setup/x-over settings.

bypass the factory amp completely, buy a new front stage (compnent set)
aftermarket amp and re-wire the whole thing, at this point it will not be much more of a learning experience to do it right....

that's what he's gonna do i just got off of aim and we straightened it out. with the whole harness, and factory amp thing.

he's gonna splice the front tweets into the front speakers from the radio harness
