Weird, after car has been sitting for a week the pop ups were down, but after starting it today it changed.

Lights pop up, they both work, but when I turn it off the passenger one goes down but the drivers side doesn't. Lights are off too btw.

Any tips? I read bad motor/relay/etc.

On a 90

Can you hear the motor on the headlight still working???'

if so try spraying wd40 on it.. probably just needs lube if motor still good

if not manully just it up in down using the wd40 thats what i did on my old 91 then it worked great

I just pushed down a little with my foot while I turned the lights on then off. :p

Went down, functions great now. Will lube up when I get some wd-40.

I have a 91 that has been sitting for about 2 years.. the drivers light has been stuck up. I just got it running good now, but I can't get the light to go down. I have lubed it with WD40 and PB Blaster, turned it on and off, up and down, and tried the manual adjustment knob... I was afraid to put too much pressure on it to go down because I don't want to break the whole thing! It doesn't even appear the the motor is trying to work.

I guess I'll have to replace the motor? Any other suggestions?

Make sure the lever that goes from the motor to the light fixture didn't come loose. It will just sit there and wind away by itself if that has happened. If it did come loose there might be to much play on the lever.

Does the light go down with the manual knob? If the motor isnt making any kind of noise or trying to move at all when the switch is toggled I'd say the motor is bad.

The light will move with the manual knob, but it won't go all the way down. The part that rotates around does not budge at all when the switch is toggled.

You might try disconnecting the arm from the motor and then see if the motor runs via the switch with the arm disconnected. If the light does not go all the way down with the knob it sounds like it is binding up somewhere.

There is also a "stopper" adjustment rod on the headlight housing assembly you may want to check out. It is basically just a stopper that stops the headlight from going down to far. Yours could be out of adjustment. You will have to take apart the plastic around the headlight as well as the headlight itself to get to it however.
