How durable are the CF hoods.

I,ve been looking into buying a CF hood for my 2g. I had a guy tell me to be careful because some of them will warp from heat. I'm looking at the ones on visracing.com
and im just wandering if i have to worry about engine heat destroying my $600 hood. I will use hood pins if i do get one. Any input on this guys?

Heat won't. It takes an axe to break one. Get on
youtube and search for "carbon fiber hood" there should be one on a guy beating the crap out of one

If you get a vented hood, you may find some small cracks in the get coat near the vent due to heat.

Heat wont warp them, But heat will cause them to crack and look discolored. If you get one i highly recommend a good heat insulator on the bottom of it.
