New Rear center peice grill *Pics!!*

Ok, so the other day i was looking at the gsx's older brother the 99 3000gt vr4... I saw the vr4's rear center peice and liked it alot so i decided to make one of my own, or at leats one that looks like it, heres a pic of it...

I never seen anything like this on any other dsm... Yay or nay...I love the look personaly

not a bad idea but you need to open the hole for the hatch key, and the holes on the grill are too big and you can see everything right through it.

There is a key hole open and the mesh is tiny... I think its just the close up shot that makes the mesh look open

I tried making it look the same but it was really hard so i said fnck it and just laid down some fine mesh

Maybe with smaller mesh it would alrite but I feel that it takes away from the cleanness of your car. And i dont see the point of the mesh, its not like it does anything for the car. Thats just my opinion though and if you like it then thats all that matters. I will give you points for originality though.

I think you had a very good idea, to me it just doesn't look as good as a painted center piece. But like the saying goes, it's your car so if it floats your boat then who cares what anybody else says.

I say you buy two round foglights and wire them to your reverse lights and stick em' in there.

I don't think it looks terrible but I don't think it looks great. If I were you I would get either a solid black one or a carbon fiber piece like jasonlee posted.

While it's not my cup of tea, if you like it, then that's cool. On a side note your 2G looks freakin' gorgeous why don't you try putting a Mitsu pointed star emblem on the mesh like the 3KGT?

I think painted centerpieces are hawt. Maybe you could just paint your centerpiece black, get some horizontal lines going and it will look sort of like a 3000GT.

Looks nothing like the 3000gts' rear and it is ugly and cheap looking IMO.

i agree i ike jasonlees's mesh better. it does look alot cleaner and smoother.
but i would not be ashamed to have yours on my car either both look very nice.
mad props on the idea though.
i wonder what it would have looked like if you smoothed(bondoed) over the holes where the back up lights where and moved the back up lights to the mesh on opposite sides.like the 3000gt.
and maybe a chrome mitsubiti badge in the center i think would look good on a black car.
