Door Open Switch Help Please.

Hello all, I have already searched extensively but still need some help. Im pretty sure my drivers side door has a faulty switch (the one that turns the interior lights on when the door is opened). What I need is a part # for this switch if anyone here has it I would greatly appreciate it!

Ok now im bummed---Just placed an order for some odds and ends items including the door switches..... Only to find out that they have been discontinued and are no longer available... WTF am I supposed to do now????

Junkyards / find people parting cars out / ebay.......

My drivers side has flaked out a couple times. I have been able to clean in and get it working again. If you haven't tried that take the boot off and spray some electronics cleaner on it and reassemble.

Thanks for the tip--Ill have to give that a try. I did get ahold of a local dealer parts dept and the guy there said he thinks he can get ahold of a couple for me so hopefully that pans out if cleaning it doesnt do the trick.

See if Chrysler has it. The same part was used on many cars. Look for Avenger parts.

Or, there's not that much to it. Clean it and rebuild it.

Or you can disable it very easyily if you don't want it at all.
