Does anyone know how to remove this part of the door panel? I'm not at home to work on the car so I just want to know about it before I start working, I want to wrap it in the same leather vinyl I want to wrap alot of the interior panels with. Thanks...

Take off the panel and look behind it to see if you locate any clips, thats what i did today
on my talon, working on some suede. That would be my idea.

yea because I know they make c/f pieces to fit in there but I dont feel like spending 200$ on them panels. I just wasn't sure if there was more to the job than it looked...

Theres like 15ish screws holding it on. First you have to un screw a foam piece and then you can get to all of them. I covered mine in black suede, its easy. just make sure you take your time and smooth it all out and let the spray adhesive tack before you put the new fabric on or the adhesive will bleed through the fabric. Ill post some pics up tonight or tomorrow.

Where do you find these CF inserts you speak of??

Also, I've had 2 eclipses (one GS and my current GSX) and the GSX that I have came with plastic tabs that were "glued" into the holes that keep that insert attached. Luckily, I realized this before I sold the GS and swapped in the complete door panels off of my GS which has the screws holding that insert on.

Don't ask me whay Mitsu did this, but it may require breaking the plastic tabs and re-glueing them together once they've been reupholstered.

Now that I think about it... I wonder if that's what happened with the previous owner of my car. Possibly they lost the screws and decided to hot glue it back together.

It sounds odd, but if you would've seen my car when I first got it, you'd realize that anything is possible.

hahaha ,
well the c/f pieces are on ebay every once in awhile for 175$ and 25$ shipping....
